usb sandisk and suse 9.2

Hi. I am having the problem of not being able to mount or see at all my sandisk cruzer usb stick. I am using suse 9,2. I have looked at the updates. Suse 9.1 apparently had a faulty update for this. I never updated my other box(suse 9,1) and usb worked fine. There were no visible patches for sues 9.2 which related to hotplug or subfs(which were sadi to be neeeded for suse 9.1(so I'm stumped.

The suse 9,2 doco says that it supports automountnig of usb drives, "aill automaticlayy ste up and configure your usb drive". It does not

i havew found somrthing interesting in suse plugger.

It says :

usb:

then

another four entires for Elitegroup VT82xxxxx UHCI usb 1.0 Controller\

My system is a AMD athlon 2600
384MB of ram
ati radeon 9200 se vid
seagate 80gig hdd
sony cdrw
samsung dvdrom

sandisk cruzer 128mb memory bar

my motherboard that this worked on is an older m'board so I don't see how a newer one shoulkdn't work

Whats the output of 'fdisk -l' thats a lower case L run as root. When I plug my usb pen drive in I get the following:

Disk /dev/sdb: 128 MB, 128450560 bytes
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 490 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 1 490 125424 b W95 FAT32

The problem is that the drive isn't mounted, to mount it as root try:

mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/pendrive

Ofcourse you'll need to change /dev/sdb1 to what ever yours is detected as :)

If you don't see your drive in the output of 'fdisk -l' post the output of 'lsmod' run as root.

I am trying to mount my SanDisk cruzer micro in Kubuntu Breeze. When I plug it into my USB port I get

So my USB seems to work fine. However,

merely shows my harddisks. Where to go from here?
