woohoo!!! i comiled my first kernel...however...

on my stock mandrake kernel, i didn't have to manually mount my cdrom, zip, etc...it would automatically mount & unmount...but now, with my new kernel, it's 'mount blah blah' 'umount blah'! grr!..what's up?

b/c in ur Mandrake's kernel there was an utility called "automounter" ... I believe it's still in fresher kernels, but u probably forgot to install it, or it doesn't work right :rolleyes:
