AFAIK, no. I had the same irritating issue, so I got to thinking, "I wonder if some of the other packages are incorrect". So I tried slackpkg, and it flagged about 8 other packages that swaret didn't. Many of the packages swaret thought were up-to-date had version numbers actually higher than those that slackpkg was offering. So I fired up a web browser and actually looked at the packages on the mirror. Lo and behold, slackpkg was right. I haven't used swaret since.
BTW, I looked at Swaret's site to see if anyone else was having the same problem. Sure enough, people were. The thing is, swaret (and slackpkg) don't try to see which version is more recent, or which version has the higher number. Both tools are just supposed to sync your package list to whatever is on the mirror. When people asked Swaret's maintainer about it, he pointed this out, which didn't solve any problems. (Not trying to be mean, it's just what I read)
I used Swaret for about 6 months on my laptop (current), desktop (current), and server (stable). It never borked my system, but I am now using slackpkg (just used it to upgrade my server from 10.0 to 10.1 today; yeah, I know, I just tried it to see if it could) and all went well.
Just my 2 cents...
