I know it has a new kernel, but other than that, I can't find anything that is new in 7.2, Can anyone point out something usefully different?

Do these distros not have anything on their websites about the latest release and the new features/updates?
Caldera always does. Strange how others don't.

http://www.redhat.com/software/linux/rhl_new_features.html its listed in products, few things added and updated, not a major upgrade or anything, ext3 support, i could be wrong but i think it supports resierfs and XFS now too? ..

The ext3 support rocks! It seems to boot faster then when I was using ext2 and is a lot more stable. It can recover from crashes and 'unexpected' reboots very quickly and effectivly, very nice. RH 7.2 has all the latest software packages (I have noticed Gnome is a bit buggy, anyone know how to restore the panel?) But over all, I'd gladly take 7.2 over 7.1 IMHO
