hello!

im trying to install edonkey gui, i got this message:

rpm -ivh ed2k-gtk-gui-0.6.3-2.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libexpat.so.1 is needed by ed2k-gtk-gui-0.6.3-2

how do i fix this with mdk 10.1?

whenever i had rpm dependeny probles i would:

1. Go to http://www.rpmseek.com/index.html
(http://www.rpmseek.com/index.html)

2. Select "Package contains File" and search for missing dependency (ie libexpat.so.1)

3. Select package

4. Select Distribution

oh... and and i think rpmfind.net is also good for this.

hope it helps

I know it's not what you're asking, but if it's anything like installing aMule, the dependencies for Mandrake 10+ are a real pain.
In case you'd like to install aMule, or you get similar problems, I made a list of all the necessary packets here (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=4636&sid=&hilightuser=1438).
