Windows uses its own window environment, as does BeOS, as does QNX. Linux uses X. Are there any other window devices available for use besides X? Something viable preferably :)

Don't know whether its a red herring... you might want to check into it. Tyr-7BE 03-26-2001, 09:27 PM I'll search for Y-Windows...does kinda sound fake huh ? :) Damn I checked out the other ones and none of them have screenshots, plus they're all X-based. I really hate the look of X, plus it's often a memory hog depending on what you're using. I'm looking for something clean and fast...like BeOS or QNX or Windows but stable and fast :) justlinux.com
