I'm sort of new to Linux, I'm running rh7. For some reason KDE stopped working; any idea as to what I should do?

Uh, how about telling us what you mean by "stopped working". What exactly is or isn't happening? When does it happen? Did it work before? What does it look like when it "stops working"? Have you tried a different window manager like Gnome? Does the same thing happen?
Get it?

I have a problem with Red Hat 7 too but I am getting rid of it. I am trying Progeny Debian 1.0 RC2.

Are you having it log on automatically? if so, I can't help you ;-) Additionally, its a security problem. That out of the way, I would solve this by running another GUI such as GNOME or Blackbox or something and adding/replacing your KDE core RPMS. I've had this problem w/ Mandrake and it was caused by a version conflict. This can be solved by updating all your RPMs for KDE at the same time before running it again. :o
