Has anyone had any luck installing suse via ftp? I'm at my wits end  I would download the entire 7.1 folder but i think its like 15 gigs(conspiracy)....I backed out at about 4
It works flawlessly till it reboots my system and needs to reconnect to the ftp site for some final loose ends.
The initial connection is based on a boot floppy that it instructs you to make along with the appropriate driver disk for the ethernet card. Since during the initial setup procedure I'm manually telling it my network configuration, etc it works great. The second part of the setup it doesnt re-connect because it thinks on its own(conspiracy). There is no way to tell it what the proper settings are.
I think its all a conspiracy by suse! So suse in half-*** installed at this point...for the 3rd time :(
Any tips would be greatly appreciated but please dont tell me to go buy it when all the linux distros I've tried have been nothing but problems :) Hoping Suse would restore my faith.
