Best/Fastest/Cheapest Broadband ISP?

Can someone give me info on good linux highspeed ISP's? I was looking at starband.com, but they cost 70 bucks a month :( (two way satallite looks pretty cool though).

i think in most places the cheapest broadband is cable

and i think most/all cable system are linux compatible, unless you get an internal or USB cable modem
