Ok, here goes another newbie question from someone trying to become a convert:

I have heard good things so far about RH 7.1, but I also remember some scandal not to long ago with 7.0 and the gcc compiler (? I think ?). Has this been solved in 7.1?

Also, I have a Win2k Pro system with two hard drives. Is there any problem installing RH 7.1 on the D: drive?

Thanks in advance...

Yes the problem has been fixed. If you run in your terminal

# up2date

that will take you to all the rpm from red hat that they update.

About your d drive sure you could do that, but make sure that in your lilo.conf file you have the right setting to run linux at boot up
