Hello,
I have been having some Sound Troubles... I have Linux Mandrake 7.2 and the sound dosent seem to work in KDE...? I have an "Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128" and "Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128 Leagacy Device" Those both show up on a print out I made on my computer. I log into KDE and it loads... but I dont get any noise...? I dont know if there is any startup noise or anything, I play games it provides and there is no sound... But when I go into GNOME and click applications there is sound... I thought that was wierd. But when I play games GNOME provides there is no sound.... What's going on? Do I have to configure my soundcard...? and if so how? I read some NHF and help files but I found them confusing... If you could please help me fix this I would greatly apperciate it!!!!
Thanks!

Ok, I found a thing in a book to check your sound, so I typed in sndconfig and Probed the soundcard and it came up with an Esoniq1ES1371 AudioPCI-97 then it asked me to test the sound and the test sample worked... but how come when I play games KDE has in there "Amusment" thing there is no sound? Also This may sound like a really stupid question, please dont flame me... How do you turn your sound level up and down? In Windows I use the Sound thing in the toolbar or my Keyboard because it has an Volume Knob. How is it done in Linux? And How can I get sound in games that KDE provides me with?
Thank you for your time.
