get rid of xpad buttons on the fluxbar

is there a way to get rid of the buttons on the fluxbar of xpad? usually i have a bunch of pads open at once and it consumes my whole bar. there is a dock icon which runs, and that is all that i want displayed on the bar. how can i accomplish this?

no. I had submitted a bug about this atleast a year ago, but development had halted even before that.

theres a wishlist bug abuot this on debian's bts (i think i submitted that one too) and nothing has happened.

I ALSO tried to fix it myself, and it doesn't look too hard if you understand gtk and have a day to burn. Personally, never coded in gtk myself.
