when i plug in my USB disk, it mounts fine. But then after an hour or so, it doesnt work. /var/log/messages:

kernel: scsi3 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
hal.hotplug[3919]: timout(10000 ms) waiting for /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.1/usb3/3-1/3-1.1/3-1.1:1.0

and thats it. for me to use my flash disk, i have to reboot. i searched the internet and found this:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=136255

it had a lot of tech speak, but is there a workaround for it to work?

Quoted from bugzilla:
I have tried Kernel 2.6.9-RC2 and it works fine with FC3. It mounts
devices etc. as it should and the hal daemon appears to does its job
correctly. I've been running it for a few so far and it's been fine.

Hopefully an offical kernel update can be issued with at least the USB
corrections from RC2 in.

I believe your fix may come by a kernel update. Are you using the stock FC3 kernel? An idea may be to try and update it to the 2.6.10 kernel and see if this gives you a fix.

you can always replug it, it would just take the next device address, if it was /dev/sda and it froze it would then be /dev/sdb ( or should be )
