Another FC3 question...K3b related

I'm not able to get K3b to decode Mp3s...I used synaptic and installed lib mad, and all sorts of mp3 decoders (the website says to install only libmad) however its still not wokring...any idea what could be the problem here?

K3b says that it cannot handle an unsupported format...i installed all hte necessary librarires yet its still doesnt work..

I just did a Google on "FC3 K3B MP3 decoder" which turned up another with the same problem.
No solutions/answers though, but it may be related to RedHat/Fedoras view on MP3 licensing issues? ... I don't know.

Ogg Vorbis any good for you instead?
