This post has absolutely nothing to do with Gnu/Linux. I just found this picture accidentally on Google and thought it was funny as hell.

Here's another one I found. I call this "World's oldest computer... user."

pretty funny.

In the second picture, it looks like there's a picture of a man on the wall behind the old man. I wonder what that's about.

:rolleyes:Why make it into something racial?

The funniest part of that picture to me is the girl with red hair looks like she's trying to seduce the camera operator.

Yes, the girl on the right does look like a total, brainless bimbo in the process of undressing for the camera. The girl immediately next to her appears somewhat "lost" or emotionally wounded.

The folks on the left wear the kinds of faces that imply that they would actually be a joy to have in a classroom of students of that age group; but, calling it a Computer Class in the Ghetto does imply a divisive attitude.

I've taught several non-urban computer classes with a similar mix of students. Nothing unusual there, and I tend to prefer the cultural mix....the true bimbo-types get bored after a while and plant themselves in front of the nearest mirror.

Photos like this give me a warm feeling for those kids who came into a course a bit on the scattered side, and left significantly more confident and empowered.

I do think that you set yourself up for a few shots on that one.

The problem with the Old Guy photo is the AOL on the screen and the number of microsoft and "dummies" books on the shelf--of course, the shirt does inspire a bit of stomach upset.
