I was testing ethereal on my home network earlier, I put eth0 (my laptop) as the interface, and the IP address was correctly displayed underneath, all traffic to and from my laptop was sniffed, however I was unable to obtain traffic going to and from my Windows XP box, I tried 'any' under interfaces, expecting it to log any network activity, but still only my laptop's traffic was being captured.
So my question, a command or method of finding out the interface name of my Windows XP box? Already checked the ethereals FAQ and JL's archives for such a question, but I guess this is not such a common thing and feel a little embaressed for asking
I also checked a lot of commands like ipconfig /all and route print, searching for an interface name but to no avail.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
