I am running RedHat 6.2 on 2 servers, both wil the default kernel - 2.2.14-5.0

Should I upgrade them? If so, to what Kernel Version? what are my options with RH62?

thanks

Ed

Yes, definately. You can get a new kernel tree (2.2.19 is the latest 2.2 series) from ftp.kernel.org - while it downloads, read the NHF on kernel compiling.

i just upgraded my stock RH6.2 installation - kernel (2.2.14) to 2.2.18
i wrote a guide on it complete with web addresses for packages
fairly easy - you just have to upgrade a bunch of other packages to get it to work

look under the linux section and its in the jump menu ***documentation I've written***
