I just recently installed Mandrake 7.0 and it worked fine until today. It used to go straight to a graphical login but today when I booted up the screen just sort of flashed and it went to the non-graphical login. When I type startx it comes back with an error message:
'could not open default font "fixed" '
I also noticed that when I shutdown and it goes through the checklist of devices it says "Failed" next to the X Font Server and Zope
I really don't know what this means but I know that it didn't say this before.
I'm sure there's probably some way to get X-Windows set up properly again but I don't really know how other than just doing another install(yuck!)
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
