epiphany and galeon

is there any difference between epiphany and galeon ?
they look the same and act the same to me.
whats up with this ? are they both the "official" gnome
browser ?
just curious, and wondering if i should free up some space (not much) by booting one of them.

I'm sure they are based off the same engine, I think the difference is epiphany was forked off of galeon...

I don't think they are dependant on each other (you will find out when one is removed :)) I would get rid of the one you don't like but would be more inclined to keep epiphany

yeah i did some research and experimenting last night and they seem identical except for epiphany loads about 2 seconds quicker than galeon. so... i have my winner. it also starts faster than firefox, but doesnt have near the features. the popup blocking, the media support etc....
but i like it a lot.
