I have an old motherboard with dual 486 processor support. I can't seem to identify it (Motherboard.org couldnt find anything) but i know it has an AMI bios and the chipset is from some company called ACC Micro. Now what i was wondering is can mix an AMD i486 at 100mhz and an Intel i486 at 50mhz. I was just wondering if not i can replace the 100mhz with an Intel i486 33mhz that the motherboard came with.

thanx for any help:)

I don't think so, you need to put the correct Intel or AMD procs in both sockets.

Pair them up according to manufacturer and uP specifications. You absolutely cannot mix clock speeds.
Some of those old dual-uP boards were directed at Intel-only, and many boards of that vintage were one-offs, with little-to-no support or documentation beyond the set of photocopied papers that originally came with it.

Use the processor that the motherboard came with, and get another processor to match it.

At this point, 486-uPs are dirt cheap, and you'll probably find folks willing to give them to you rather than throw them away.

In Orange County, California, there is a company called AllTech Electronics, which does mail orders on exactly the kind of thing you're dealing with:
