I use to think the LNO had distribution specific forums, maybe I was on crack.

I downloaded the 3 iso's last night for debian 2.2r5, will finish burning them tonight and try an install. What I'm wondering is how easy is it to upgrade the kernel with apt-get, or can you do that ? I can do it on my own, but I figure a package manager should handle stuff like that.

Any input is greatly appreciated,
Mike

You can apt-get a kernel and kernel sources but they obviously won't be optimized. Do a apt-cache search kernel-source and apt-cache search kernel-image and find the relevant kernel details and then just apt-get them. Once they have been downloaded it'll prompt you through setting up lilo etc.
