downloading stalls no matter what browser used

Firefox, Netscape, Konquerer stall on downloads from slax website and mepis.org website. I am using Slackware-current and I am using Konquerer to download with then when it stalls i will cancel and then resume download. the other guys don't resume.

Nevermind - I shutdown my edonkey program and that solved the problem. Sorry to bother you guys

Sorry i cant help you with your problem, but I think I can provide a useful alternative. Use Bittorrent! It lets you resume downloads just like Konqueror, but it also lets your use other peoples bandwidth for downloading files, (kinda like filesharing--i think) making your downloads faster.

So what is a good program for Bittorrent?
And not everyone uses Bittorrent.
I get some progs from shareconnector.com.
But I would like a place to go and that uses Bittorrent.

bittornado, try using wget next time for the download.
