I finally got everything up and running. (WWW, FTP, MAIL)
...supposedly...anyway, my domain is reachable from everyone outside of my ISP (RoadRunner)...they can all get to the test page by going to www.porkjello.com
However, anyone in my ISP has to use the ip to get there for some reason, the daomain is NOT resolving...it has been 2 days (more actually) since I updated to new nameservers...can anyone figure this out???
Thanks.
It appears you have not allowed up to 72 hours for the changes to your DNS server list to propagate worldwide. Until this time has passed, your new domain may appear not to work at certain ISPs.
Have you tried ping-ing your domain to see if it's resolving to your ip or the old ip address?
I can access your site through the url and here is the output of a ping
jme@angel:~$ ping www.porkjello.com -c 3
PING www.porkjello.com (24.73.75.214) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from rrcs-24-73-75-214.se.biz.rr.com (24.73.75.214): icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=128 ms
64 bytes from rrcs-24-73-75-214.se.biz.rr.com (24.73.75.214): icmp_seq=2 ttl=51 time=129 ms
64 bytes from rrcs-24-73-75-214.se.biz.rr.com (24.73.75.214): icmp_seq=3 ttl=51 time=145 ms
--- www.porkjello.com ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 2023ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 128.807/134.538/145.041/7.437 ms
Could just be that your ISP hasn't updated it's nameservers as-of-yet.

Yahoooooooooooo....
It appears to be working now...thanks for letting me know about the 72 Hour thing...I had assumed incorrectly that it would be much faster.
Thanks!
...by the way, can you take a look at my post on port forwarding please...I can't seem to get any help there
When I try to use PREROUTING, I get an error saying no defined table, etc.
...if you have time.
here is the thread (http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=135366)
Thanks again!

...also, does this hold true for FTP and MAIL???
What I mean is, would the WWW be updated before the FTP or MAIL? Because the ftp is still unreachable via the domain.
Thanks again

if your running your own mail server, it should happen at the same time. we just switched isps at work and the dns switched over for the domain, but our email is managed by the isp and they didnt move it over for 4 days,
