Xserver problem

Hi all,

Now I've done it. I selected ATI Radeon 9700 pro, and now my xserver has stopped responding; it will not log in and freezes after I input my password. How do I revert to the old generic VGA settings via command line? I'm sorry, but I really have little idea about what I am doing, and I am trying to learn. Any help is appreciated.

are you using x.org or XF86?

for x.org there is a program called xorgconfig
for XF86 i think it is XF86Config, but im not sure
