I have been wanting to use Mutt for a while due to kmail and sylpheed's downfalls and I decided to install try to configure it. I've been reading manpages and howtos for mutt/sendmail/fetchmail/procmail etc, but all I want to do is get my e-mail from my isp pop3 server and send email the simplest way(smtp??). I can send emails with sendmail fom mutt but the messages show from username@hostname, which I'm sure I can easily change.

Is there an easy way to setup mutt to send and receive email as this all seems a bit advanced, seeing as I currently use sylpheed with pop3 and smtp which takes seconds to setup and I just want to do the same thing with mutt?

Hi Cheeky, hows it going?

As luck would have it LinuxWorld (http://www.linuxworld.com) have a pretty good article on customising Mutt here (http://www.linuxworld.com/site-stories/2001/1129.mutt.html)

It might not answer your exact question, but it gives some really good pointers.
