hi...I've just moved over to firefox from mozilla and, after having problems installing with urpmi and then updating to the latest version, I decided to install from source. The thing is, I'd like to create an icon link to the program from the quick -launch bar or from the desktop and I haven't got a clue how to go about doing it.
I've googled but can't find an answer to what, I'm sure, must be a simple thing to do.
Thanx

If you're using Mandrake with KDE then kooldock is a stylish tool you can use as a "quicklaunch" bar at the bottom of your desktop. You can then add custom buttons on that to lauch whatever application you want, including Firefox. Or, you can just right-click on your panel and choose the option to add a non-KDE program. A window appears asking you to select the program you want to add, so you just browse to wherever you have firefox installed.
