Just for the record I have not gotten my cd/rw to work on Linux yet but that is a question for another day. Right now I have a .bin file in Windoze that needs to be burned as a CD image. Can this be done with Nero or any other Windoze program? I realize this may not sound like a Linux question but it will be if I can get the image to work. Thanks

EasyCD and Nero will let you burn ISO images.
Look in their help files.

I did. The help files only discuss burning images from ISO's not from a .bin file.

Rename filename.bin to filename.iso and burn that to cd.
From CD Creator, select 'Create CD from Image', change the dropdown filetype list to .iso and then browse to the iso image.

Are you sure the bin is supposed to be an iso? StarrOffice for example is an executable with the bin extension. That one you mark executable and run to install.
I wrote it to cd as a file, rather than an iso. Just to have a backup copy.

I found a program on the web that converts .bin files into ISO's. Then I burned the image of the ISO. I have no Idea why the file wasn't in ISO format to begin with. But thanks guys I'm sure I all another question in a few days. :)
