I'm installing Slackware 8.0 on my Pentium 150MHz w/32MB RAM and just wanted to clarify a few things before I start. I have two CD's to install from, but my bios doesn't support booting from the CD, so I want to create a boot floppy. On the slackware website, I've got the following command:
C:\>RAWRITE bare.i A:
to use in DOS as I have win95 currently installed. But the site says something about creating a root disk. Do I need this or will the one boot floppy be enough to start the CD-ROM?
Thxs
(Don't worry, I'm not getting rid of Debian, just wanted to see what all the fuss was about! ;))
