I have a box running linux mandrake/windows 98 and a box running windows me. I have my Windows me box setup for ICS (Internet Conection Sharing) And it works fine when I run windows 98. I was wondering if there is anyway to use this with Linux-mandrake and, if so, how I would go about doing this. Any Help is much appreciated

Hi, your question is not entirely clear to me. Do you want to get your Linux computer to act as a gateway like ICS does or are you trying to get your Linux computer to use the ICS gateway?

The Linux computer, that is. I want the Linux computer to use the Windows ICS gateway.

you'll want to either connect both computers together using a hub, or a crossover cable.
once connected, use a third party software package (such as All Aboard... it works well) on the window machine. run 'linuxconf' from the console and choose networking. you want DHCP (with All Aboard) and a subnet mask appropriate to your windows machine's internal ip.
using All Aboard is the easiest way to do this... i just finished setting it up, and it works like a charm...

Here's what to do.....
Get a UDP crossover cable and connect the computers...
Establish a TCP/IP connection between the two computers (so that you can PING one from the other)...
Install ICS on the WinME computer...
DON'T use the disk it makes..instead, just set your linux box's gateway to the IP of your WinME box, and set the linux box's DNS to whatever DNS the WinME computer is set to (ISP Assigned)...
This will work.. I have the same setup running in my home.
