You need your kernel source installed, if your using a stock mandrake kernel the source will be on your install cd's. If you havent actually installed mandrake yet use the 'nv' driver for the install.

deathadder I am not quite sure what
use the 'nv' driver for the install.
meens ???
I have already installed Mandrake and I can switch to tty with Ctrl+Alt+F1 so I can log in in my root account and make whatever I want to so now i must download the package NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run and to try it isn't it ?
I read the text README and i think that there will be no problem to make all work fine :)

nv is the generic nvidia driver included with X, since you've got Mandrake already installed dont worry about it. Yeah you will need to download that file and install it, afterwards dont forget to update your X config file
