Start up Pictures

Ok this is a messed up question. Im using Redhat 7.1 and I want like a picture to look at when it loads up. It dosent have to move but it would be great. Something like the windows start up. I like mandrake 8s start up but tats to intensive. Any help guys or girls.

Are you talking about the desktop? If so you can go to freshmeat.net and search for wallpaper. I am unsure how you change the boot picture. Hope this helps.

you could do that by enabling frame buffer support in the kernel, see the frame buffer howto at linuxdoc.org
