FTP Server

[computer dork]

Running RH 7.1. When I try to ftp to my server, it says connection refused. Can't connect locally either. I have the wu-ftpd package and the ftp server package installed.

I've allowed everyone access including anonymous...need help!

i dont know if u have already done this, but u might need to go into #setup as root, and system services, and check wu-ftpd. this will make the service run on system startup.

You're lucky you didn't get this working, because another buffer overflow bug was just discovered in wu-ftpd: http://www.net-security.org/text/bugs/1007070944,90844,.shtml .
You may want to try a different ftpd, as this isn't the first or the second time a problem like this has been found in wu-ftpd.
