Hello!
I'm sure this is a topic that has come up before, but the search functions didn't seem to be working.
I'm looking for the best Linux alternative to ICQ. I want something that is stable, full featured, looks good, and works/docks with KDE.
Recommendations?

I'm assuming that you meant an ICQ client and not an alternative to the ICQ protocol itself.
There are many for linux, Licq is quite popular and is what I used to use. It uses QT, and integrates with KDE (so i've heard).
But I suggest that you use jabber :)

Correct, I'm looking for a Linux ICQ client. Sorry for not clarifing.
Is Jabber an ICQ alternative? I'm not familar with it. I'm looking for ICQ becuase thats what all my contacts use.

most jabber clients support icq, aim, msn, yahoo, etc.
there are also standalone icq clients in linux for xwindows, and also the command line.

I've always used GAIM - you can use the AIM, MSN, YAHOO, ICQ, JABBER protocols all with the same app.
