I installed Mandrake 8.1 and XF864 at 1024x768-32bpp. When I use CTRL-ALT_KP+ to cycle resolutions, instead the the desktop changing resolutions like I expect, I get this virtual desktop thing where the icons get big and I can pan around by pushing my pointer to the edge of the screen. How do I get it to change resolutions/bpp in a normal fashion? urinal cake 12-02-2001, 04:10 AM OH and I am using the new Nvidias for Mandrake 8.1 installed from .tar.gz, and they work. PimpHolic 12-02-2001, 10:17 PM try disabling "virtual desktop" in XF86 config file i think it is in the sections where your screen resolutions are just a guess justlinux.com
