i finally(2 weeks worth of) got dual display running on my cpu with a old matrox millenium and a nvidia ti200 graphics cards....

my question is this:

if i have the Load glx module uncommented, my xwindows crashes....but if i comment the option out #Load "glx".....then it works..

glx is just for glide...and the only time u use that is for games....

i dont play games on rh7.2 so i should not even need that glx option....

I'm sorry I must have missed something. What's the question??

From the Nvidia Linux Driver README:

If you already have an XF86Config file working with a different driver
(such as the 'nv' driver), then all you need to do is find the relevant
Device section and replace the line:

Driver "nv"

with

Driver "nvidia"

In the Module section, make sure you have:

Load "glx"

You should also remove the following lines:

Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"

why not try a game, such as tux racer, and see if it works?

i know the nvidia install.....but i am trying to get it to work with dual display.....i had my nvidia card running till i greedy and wanted dual display

the question is this.....do i need glx?

is it worth trying to find a fix....so that i can use glx.....my problem is that i cannot use glx with dual display...the matrox card freaks out....

btw someone told me that Xfree does not support dual and 3d at the same time..do u know if there is any true to that....
