Hi, everybody. I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I'm the newest of the noobs. I downloaded all three iso's for YDL 3.0.1, but when i tried to burn them to disk according to the instructions on YDL's site, I got an error message ("The device failed to respond properly, unable to recover or retry."). When i tried to verify the disk image, it said

Invalid number of allocation blocks
The volume needs to be repaired.

Volume check failed.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)

did i do something stupid? i'm running a G3 600 MHz iMac w/ 256 RAM and a 40 GB HD. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Carrie

edit: i forgot to add that i'm currently running mac os 10.3.5

I don't mean to give a "surface" answer but this sounds like one of two things to me:

1. The images did not download properly.

2. Your burner is not working properly.

Could you download another iso from some where (Mandrake, Redhat, wherever) and see if that burns properly, as a test?
