I have been wondering why one of the sponsored ads (Linux Comparison) on this site takes you to MS site and really seams to put a bad light on Linux as a whole. I realize that the bills need to be paid but I think there could be another way.

That's the way their marketing strategy works. If Microsoft sold refrigerators they would probably spend money to advertise in the Arctic.
I read a quote once(and forgive me as I cannot remember the source) but ti was basically: "The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it"....

But yeah, trying to sell Microsoft stuff to linux users is a bit like trying to sell ice to eskimos. Not the best analogy; sorry.
A better one would be:advertising Macdonald's to vegans.
