LILO to GRUB in Debian

I just did a Knoppix 3.6 Hard Drive install, and I want to use the GRUB bootloader as opposed to the LILO bootloader. How would I go about obtaining and installing GRUB? (if possible)

apt-get install grub

then follow the docs for grub - OR use the docs on how to install grub that are in the Gentoo online install doc.
