I have a linksys wireless card running with linuxant right now and it seems to work only part of the time. I have the essid, channel, and wep set up right but it displays no connection. I tried using iwlist eth1 ap and it listed the ap and I put eth1 (the wireless card) on "ap auto" and it wouldn't connect. I had the same problem manually setting it as well. Sometimes it would connect just after sitting there long enough. Any ideas? Thanks,
Andrew

Maybe try changing the channel that the AP and card use. When I originally setup my wireless network the same thing would happen to me on my laptop. I had left the router and card on the default channel (6) which was getting a lot of interference from cordless phones, microwaves, and other things. This could be a big deal if you are in an apartment building as I was since you could be getting interference from other people's devices as well.

Hey thanks that cleared it up. Before I had it on a different channel and it didn't make a difference. But after you mentioned that I noticed that my parents put up a cordless phone right next to the router. (oops)...

No problem, glad I could help. Some things are unavoidable though. I changed the channel on my router and it still drops the signal whenever I cook something in the microwave. :p
