I'm suing slack 10 and I just did an upgrade with swaret. After the upgrade a few dependencies were unresolved, namely liblinc.so.1 .
I've looked and haven't been able to figure out which slack package contains liblinc.so.1 .
Thanks in advance.

I just did a search, after "updatedb", and couldn't find liblinc.so.1 on my PC and I'm using Slackware Current. I did, however find several links to rpms, doing a G4L search for liblinc.so.1, that supply that file. Seems a lot of them were pointing back to older Suse installs. Have you checked any of the Slackware mirrors to see if there is a Slackpack that would supply that file? Say in Slackware 8 or 8.1? Don't know if that would "fix" the problem but it would be a place to start anyway.

You've installed a package that is not part of the normal Slack install which provides for this, but when doing a normal Slack upgrade this lib was probably updated. Do a "slocate liblinc" to see if you have one that comes close to it with a date that coincides with your recent upgrade.

Gah!!!!!!
The pinhead strikes again! liblinc.so.1 is needed by gmfsk-.0.5.whatever.tgz. For the inquizitive that's a package that has something to do with Ham Radio.
After checking my list of "101 Things I wand to do before I die" I saw:
#93 Get a ham radio license
#94 Get Ham Radio set
#95 Since I don't already have enough to learn about linux you need to figure out how to hook a ham radio up to your pc.
As you may have guessed it's going to be quite some time before I actually need a program like gmfsk so I decied to remove the package for the time being. After all, before I worry about ham radio's I have all that other stuff to do before that. Like, climb Mount Everast, visit Chicago, and of course dive naked into a grain silo filled with jelly beans. Okay I know it's strange but I always wanted to go to Chicago.
Alright you caught me I don't want to climb Mount Everast, I'm afraid of heights.
PS
....About suing slackware.....I was typing the legal breif while in MS word under win98 and got the BSOD before I finished it. LOL

Well at least you discovered the problem before any further damage was done :D. Hopefully, this will negate the lawsuite as well ;).
