That I want..But yet when I log in I never get the chance to choose KDE< GNOME...etc...The only things that I can find is a selection that says: window management - ICEW or TWM??? ANyone have any ideas?

KDE and GNOME are the desktop environment while ICEWM and TWM are the window managers that work within your desktop environment. Hope I'm right with this statement... someone correct me if I'm wrong. :P
The window maager controls the look and feel of the interface e.g. placement of windows, resizing etc.
With regards to your question, maybe it is not installed? When I log in, I get a login screen where there's a pull down menu "Session" (I think) where I can choose between KDE or GNOME. GNOME is my default so I'm using gdm... not sure abt yur case. Anyway, if it's installed, you should be able to do that.
Hope this helps...

What do you get when you log in? These two options...are they right there on the login screen, or do you have to poke around and click some icons to get there? It might be booting you into Gnome or KDE automatically (Drake has that as an option). Does it even give you a login screen?
