I'm trying to install Mandrake 10.0 Download on my desktop. The install runs seemingly normally for a short time, but then asks for an Ext2-formatted floppy with additional drivers. I hit Alt-F3 to go to the log console (or whatever it's offically called), and I see that it's tried to insert a module called 'keybdev.ko', and not finding it, after successful loads of USB keyboard drivers. I have a PS/2 keyboard, which at this point is operating normally; the only attached USB devices are an HP printer and Epson scanner.
Upon Googling, I found that "keybdev" is a 2.4 only module (replaced by "keyboard" in 2.6), and that multiple people have had this problem. It's even been listed as a bug report in Cooker, but there doesn't seem to be an available fix.
The log console also suggests I use a file called 'hdcdrom_usb.img', which I can't find on any of the CDs.
Due to a problem with my CD drives, I'm installing from the hard drive with a floppy with hd_grub.img. I also added 'expert vga=791' to the kernel command line, but I don't see how either of these could be causing this problem.

Can you borrow an usb keyboard to finish the install? Maybe try "acpi=off" as a boot argument.

I fixed it by hitting 'Back' when it said 'No ext2 formatted floppy found.'

Wanted to add a note in here also...

This happens to me too- and I find that if we just cancel out of it, that's all that's needed. Pretty weird, don't you think?? :D
