Ok, so I'm running my guitar through the line in of my computer in hopes of doing a little recording. Right now, I have it set up, and it's running through the speakers fine, but I don't know any decent recording software for linux. Are there any that you guys can recommend?

Thanks, and sorry if it's the wrong forum.

You want to record guitar through the line-in on your soundcard, I highly recommend AUDACITY (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about.php)
It does most everything you would want a recording tool to do. I've been using it to rip LP's to ogg vorbis, just using the inputs on my soundcard. Check Here (http://www.bright.net/~dlphilp/linuxsound/one-page.html)
for more.

I know nothing, as Manuel proudly says...
But maybe the Agnula project is something for you? http://www.agnula.org/project
quote "...completely devoted to professional and consumer audio applications and multimedia development..."
There are lots and lots of music-apps in their 2 distro-variants released.
It needs installing, takes 1.3 BG on harddisk (make that at least1.7)
