Man this is killing me hehe
eth0 in this box (internet connection) works fine for a bit then, for some reason, it keeps switching to promiscuous mode. At that point, eth0 just vanishes.
Anyone know why its doing this?
I tried using the -promisc and promisc (without the dash) but both claim (by the command output) to enable promiscuous mode. (man ifconfig says that -promisc disables it but once its enabled, the nic is gone)
Honestly, I've spent 3 hours on this (Google did have so semi helpful stuff about this) and I'm baffled. I'm assuming this card doesn't support it. Can I force the card never to use this setting?
