hhmm qtparted can not resize any of my partitions!

my hda has 2 partitions.
one swap and the rest is hda1 around 70GB

i want to resize it down to lets say 20gb and create another new partition 50gb but qtparted will not resize it


any other ways?

If your not worried about losing any files....."cfdisk /dev/hdx". Then delete the partition in question and remake into as many and of size you want.

but i do not want to delete any partitions , just resize them and create a new one. :(

It has to manipulated in some way. If you have no files..... it hurts nothing.:confused: What error messages do you get from qparted?
