I have a toshiba 1805 s273 laptop with gentoo installed and for some reason it won't reboot. I was able to get it to reboot with a previous install but i managed to hose it. Now im on a fresh install but im useing the kernel and modules from the previous install. Everything works fine execpt the reboot problem is back. I did notice one thing when i rebooted on the previous install it would show this at the end of the reboot process
*Stopping devfsd..... [ ok ]
*Deactivate swap..... [ ok ]
*unmounting filesystems.... [ ok ]
Restarting system
Remounting remaining filesystems readonly.....
then it reboots fine. but with the new install it does this
*Stopping devfsd..... [ ok ]
*Deactivate swap..... [ ok ]
*unmounting filesystems.... [ ok ]
Remounting remaining filesystems readonly.....
Restarting System
and thats were it freezes. Acpi is working correctly as far as i can tell. I dont know what to do now. If it where my desktop i wouldnt care becuase that stays on.
Thanks
