All right, I'm getting fairly pissed off with windows. I've been using linux for about a year now, but I still find that there's a few things that just work better in windows. I have a feeling everything I want to do can be done in linux (I don't particularily want to play games).
Here's a little list. Let's see if we can find linux equivalents:
I need something that can burn bin/cue files natively, none of this bchunker crap.
I need something that can make a vcd/svcd from an mpeg1/2 movie file.
I need an ftp client that can be configured to play a sound file when it logs in to the server.
I need a downloading tool that can be set to delay on retries and supports http username/passwords. (Note: Someone replied to an earlier post of mine with a possible solution to this, which I will look into tonight).
With these few things, I can finally forsake windows and go linux full time. So, fellows, what say ye? Can it be done?
