Is there a way to choose kernel 2.6.7 from /testing on the second cd as the kernel during the installation of Slackware10? All I have been able to find is info on compiling after the install is complete.

If you can copy it to your drive where the install application can find it during the kernel setup.

So, precompile the kernel, then run the install? Could I burn everything from the compiled kernel on to a cd the refer to that during installation?

Cant honestly say...I get all my sources from kernel.org. M/B someone else will answer, that has done the ritual. It is in Slack package format...tgz???

in Testing it is in tgz format but I can't see it as an option during installation to install this package. Downloading the source from kernel.org would be fine, but it would definitely be easier if I can just use the Slackware package.
