Run a nameserver? thaddaeus 08-31-2004, 10:59 PM that is opne option, or find a dns.org type site that has free dns stuff, meaning they will be your name servers and allow you to change your dns records. Then Add an A record or chang the current one to the ip of your server, this will then point the nameservers to look at your server for that domain, i'll try to find what i used a while back, also check out dyndns.org they have services like this for a fee they can take your dynamic ip and make it "seem" static, and other useful services but i will do a search here quickly movEAX_444 08-31-2004, 11:02 PM I have a static ip already, and I am using dyndns right now, what nameserver do I use to do what I want? thaddaeus 08-31-2004, 11:05 PM here area few sites: searched: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=free+dns+servers&btnG=Google+Search and got: www.zoneedit.com www.xname.org you set the name servers to the ones provided byt the sites, i use zonedeit for a while i think, xname.org looks very good. whos you registrar (more to come) also the last post was useless after reading it, the one about the dyndns stuff, being you have a statis ip justlinux.com
