install sendmail mandrake 72

I cant seem to install sendmail on my drake72 box. I dled the tar.gz and followed the instructions. It appears to go thru clean but i dont get anything when i do:
man sendmail
if i do whereis sendmail it just says
sendmail:
Anybody install sendmail from src on drake...
pleez help

You'd do best to just find the latest release of the Mnadrake RPM's for Sendmail. Mandrake usually complains when you don't stick to it's primary form of package installation. ;)
